Sippy Softswitch 1.7.1 (May 2009)
Version 1.7.1 of Sippy Softswitch has been released and is available
immediately to new and existing clients. The main changes in the new
release are:
- PPTP VPN support. The VPN concentrator
supporting the industry-standard PPTP protocol has been
integrated into the softswitch, allowing for increased
security and use of service when SIP is blocked by the
ISP.
- Improved reporting. Call Data Records and Call
Reports for Accounts and Customers have been unified to provide a
consolidated view and simplify reconciliation.
- Portuguese translation. A Portuguese option
has been added to the web interface.
- RTP-handling performance improvements. The
media relaying subsystem has been extended to take full advantage
of modern multi-core CPUs, increasing maximum forwarding capacity
and decreasing delay and jitter.
- Security enhancements. Configurable web
sessions timeout has been added.
- Usability improvements. Based on customer
feedback, several user interfaces originally introduced in
version 1.7 have been modified to enhance usability.
