Sippy Softswitch 64-bit (December 2008)

Sippy Software, Inc. has officially announced the start of beta-testing of a 64-bit version of its flagship Sippy Softswitch product. The update bumps up the maximum amount of supported RAM to 128GB, versus 4GB for the 32-bit version, and should benefit customers with medium and large amounts of traffic. The new version allows the technology to fully utilize the potential of modern multi-core AMD and Intel server processors, including Intel Xeon EM64T, Intel Xeon64, Intel Core2, Intel i7 and AMD Opteron.

A preview version of the software has been made available immediately for selected customers, while 64-bit capability will be added to version 1.6.1 for new and existing clients.
